Project Based Learning

 

Actively explores real world problems related to content areas and gives students an opportunity to express their ideas using a variety of methods to make connections to material being learned.  Incorporating PBL into a collaborative learning environment has enriched the classroom experience as well as help to prepare students for the workforce. 

STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics

 

Meeting the  national STEM initiative is a goal of mine as an educator and using various instructional strategies enables the incorporation of STEM methodology into instruction seamlessly.

 

 

 

 

Use of Technology in Research - Student Resource Guide

 

The proper instruction and use of technology with regards to research methods extends far past science content and enables students to expand their study skills in order to increase their college readiness. 

Small Group Tutoring

 

Reaches students on an individual level to assist with vocabulary development, and aid in differentiated instruction. Peer coaching and tutoring offer students the extra support needed to find success in difficult content areas, and an additional opportunity for teachers to check for understanding.
